Photography will once again fill our Residence with light during the VI CoberturaPhoto Photography Workshop.
In this edition Juanan Requena proposes: THE PATH IS THE GOAL
The mission of this workshop will be to show each participant the tools they have to take their own path, without fear and in free flight, simply by cultivating their listening and embracing creation overboard: with their heart in the hands that hold the camera and will hold their future.
Each participant, using as a search engine all kinds of materials likely to fit into their idea or project, will create that “unique work”, a synthesis of their questions and doubts, a container of their emotion and a reflection of their newly found path. Bringing any kind objects and materials from each one own archive or family album: old Polaroids; book covers and pages torn from any notebook; badly developed negatives; test strips, failed prints, sketches, stickers; napkins; the letters of the bride or groom.

Juanan Requena was born in an arid village in La Mancha (Castile, Spain), where he became enraptured by horizons, watching the birth of more than a thousand storms. With the first girl, the first move. In the city of Picasso he learned hendecasyllables and “quejíos”, selling books and setting up cafés. He became a traveller, wiring tours of bands without rock and roll, but the attempt failed and the desert arrived. Wrapped in the light of the Cape he broke his first camera, met Valente and filmed as far as Berlin, where he became convinced of what he still reflects today without stopping.
