On March 1, 2023, the Jury appointed to decide the XXIV Paul Beckett Poetry Prize—the writers Jorge de Arco, María del Carmen Mestre, Jesús Mateos and Jesús Munárriz, met under the chairmanship of Carlos Murciano, in his capacity as member of the Royal Belgian-Spanish Academy of History—, and after the ensuing deliberations, agreed to award the prize, worth four thousand euros and publication of the work, to the poem entitled Otros sabrán de mí, written by Marina Casado.
Two hundred poems were submitted to the contest from all over Spain, as well as from Belgium, Costa Rica, Denmark, Paraguay, Peru and Switzerland.
The finalists were were: “El tiempo encontrado”, “Peregrino entre las estrellas”, “Ferreira de Júdice”, “Verde gabán”, “Los ángeles azules”, “Madame Podeva” and “Jesús Nidáguila”.
